We arrived at the Florida house and the natives are restless for dinner. In times like these, I speak to the Lord.
Dear Lord, you know I saw that snickers bar and they are my weakness. Should I toss this fast out the window, I already ate half a cucumber? What can I loose?
Then I remember how my loving husband stopped at Walmart 5 miles from our home to pick up items for me to juice! Uggh! At this point instead of being grateful for the support, I said why is he trying to make me do this! We are in the kitchen, so now its time to juice. Excited but not really, I wish I was a witch. That would allow me to snap a finger and anything I want would appear! Snap out of it Cinderella its not going to happen! On to juicing! Bright idea, use a larger than thumb size piece of Ginger root! Why oh why did I do that? My fingers are burning! Do you all experience that when peeling ginger? Ok the juice is ready, so back to dinner.
Who is the chef? Not really but the Chef of this home. Yes, Me! Am I strong enough to resist eating the fish (tilaphia) in which I am preparing for dinner? I say to the Lord again,"please let me prepare this meal in the home you have blessed us with. It is definitely a daily struggle to drink only juice each day all day, especially on long drives to FL. But I know you will give me the strength to drink this down and be satisfied, as I watch my family eat the meal you provided them. Amen."
Dinner is prepared, the table is set, and now we bow our heads to give thanks."Bless these thy gifts we are about to receive from thy bounty through Christ our Lord. Amen." I made it through! I sit here as I watch my family eat. It looks so delicious and I am famished. So, I stare down my juice as I am very hesitant and scared to try the new ratios. I take a deep breath and hold it. Sip... Guess what? The added ginger made it taste like green V8! Cheers! Oh no, why does my stomach feel hot? Only minutes later bubbles. Oh no! There is no way I can drink the rest of these 24 ounces
Thank goodness for glass mason jars! If you don't have them purchase them for this journey, in the event you join me! :-) Have a Blessed day you all. *hugs*
That looks pretty good.
